Alabama high school sports: Vote for Gadsden Times boys and girls athlete of the Week of May 3

It's that time of the week, time to vote for the Gadsden area boys and girls athlete of the week.

Westbrook Christian's Dylan Rainey won the boys vote with more than 50% of the vote after his 10 strikeout performance while Lacey Grace Hall continued a win streak with 34% of the vote in a tight battle.

Nominees for athlete of the week come from the top performers the week before. Voting will last until Thursday at noon.

• Southside's Camren Thompson - 2 goals, 3 assists
• Westbrook Christian's Dylan Rainey 5 RBIs, picked up the pitching win with four strikeouts

• Southside's Hannah Maddox - 14 saves
• Westbrook Christian's Anna Grace Whittemore - 5 goals
• Hokes Bluff Sophia Jackson - 5 RBIs, 3 run HR
• Piedmont's Savannah Smith - CG win, 9 K's
• West End's Kennedi Nix - 3 RBIs
