STOCKTON - Stockton is using artificial intelligence to combat blight and city code violations.The City of Stockton is hoping a program that is costing the city nearly $240,000 a year can help make its code enforcement department more efficient.There are seven code enforcement vacancies in the city, and with only 13 officers looking over the entire city, officials say this new artificial intelligence can help lighten the workload.Al Greco has had his comic book shop on Stockton's Miracle Mile since the late 1970s. STOCKTON, Calif. — A San Joaquin County grand jury has concluded that "efficient and ethical governing" in Stockton is "under attack by both external and internal forces." San Joaquin County awards $5 million to local nonprofits
The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved over $5 million dollars in funding to 63 community-based/nonprofit organizations during its June 4 meeting. After a competitive grant process, funding opportunities were made available to tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations that provide a wide variety of services to San Joaquin County residents. These services could include health and human services, youth enrichment, veterans, animal welfare, environmental action, assistance for unhoused residents, and other essential community support that are aligned with the board’s strategic priorities.
