Stearns County Department of Human Services Introduces Online Payment Options for Client Convenience
(KNSI) — The Stearns County Department of Human Services says online payment options are now available. A press release says the move allows for flexibility for clients to make assistance ovepayments or pay account balances any time of the day or night. Overpayments are amounts owed back to the County for cash assistance, food support, childcare assistance, or group residential housing.

Spartans spoil Cards home finale
(Willmar, MN) -- The Cardinal boys’ basketball team played the Rocori Spartans in the Big Red Gym Monday night in their regular season home finale and were defeated by a final score of 84-41. The two teams played fairly even basketball for the first several minutes of the first half when the Spartans dropped in a 2 to take a 15-13 lead. The Spartans then took over the offensive game out scoring the Cards 27-15 for the remainder of the half to go into the locker room with a 42-28 lead.

St. Cloud Man Faces Four Felonies for Assault Monday Evening
(KNSI) — A 36-year-old St. Cloud man has been charged with four felonies after allegedly hitting a woman with a shoe and pistol whipping his neighbor. According to court documents filed in Stearns County, officers responded to a “gun complaint resulting in an injury” at an apartment on the 300 block of 4th Avenue South at around 7:30 Monday night. Investigators say Lawrence Duncan was accused of assaulting a woman there. Afterward, he went and found her father in a different apartment unit and hit him upside the head with a gun, “resulting in him discharging a bullet through his ear.”

Huskers boys beats Royals on the road
The Holdingford Huskers boys basketball team traveled to take on the Royalton Royals Thursday, Feb. 20. The score remained relatively close for most of the game, but the Huskers came on top at the end, winning 71-64. The Huskers’ Dawson Hiofer led with 30 points, Jefferey Hall followed with 10 and Brodi Huls with nine. Hofer also had seven defensive rebounds, four deflections and two steals. The team had a field goal percentage of 45%, along with 32 rebounds and 12 steals. The Royals had 42 rebounds, three steals and scored on 39% of their shot attempts. Individual stats from the game are not available. The Huskers traveled to play against the Kimball Cubs Friday, Feb. 23. They will also travel to their last game of the season against the Eden Valley Watkins Eagles Monday, Feb. 26.
