Local Chillicothe businesses cited for health code violations
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Two local businesses have been cited for health code violations, according to recent inspections. Speedway, located at 1136 E Main St, was found to have several critical violations. Inspectors observed a handwashing sink being used for purposes other than handwashing, with an accumulation of liquid present at the time of inspection. The Person in Charge (PIC) stated that chocolate milk had been dumped down the sink earlier in the day.

Leesburg woman sentenced for stolen vehicles
A Leesburg woman sentenced to community control on possession and stolen property charges was among four people sentenced recently in Highland County Common Pleas Court. Katelyn Rodgers, 23, was sentenced to three years of community control on two counts of receiving stolen property, both second-degree felonies; one count of possession of marijuana, a third-degree felony; and a forfeiture specification. Rodgers was also accepted into the New Way to Recovery Drug Court Docket. She was ordered to pay restitution of $1,019.34 to the first victim and $762.45 to the second victim alongside a co-defendant.
