Obituary: Sharon Rae Weakley, 63

Sharon Rae Weakley

With great sadness, the family of Sharon Rae Weakley, of Frankford, announces her unexpected passing on April 14, 2024, at the age of 63.

Sharon was born on August 5, 1960, at Ronceverte, a daughter of Lacy and Jean Johnson.

Sharon had a heart of gold, which was evident during the many years she spent as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for the residents of Greenbrier Manor. Sharon was a loving woman, who always wore a smile and had an infectious laugh. She was well-known for sending cards to her loved ones for every birthday and holiday. She found great joy in putting together little gifts for people she cared about, as a token of her love for them. Anyone who knew Sharon knew that she loved pigs and curated quite the collection of pig figurines and décor in her lifetime.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lacy Johnson; and her husband, Gerald Weakley.

In addition to her mother, Sharon is survived by her sons, Javis Brewster and Camron Brewster; granddaughters, Everleigh, Sarenitee, and Peytience; sisters, Darlene Sparks, Debra Johnson, and Shelia Bennett (Justin); nieces and nephews, Darcie McCraw (Rob), Ashlie Feury, Aimee Owens (Solomon), Dakota Bennett, and Jarrett Bennett; great-nephews and great-niece, Conner Feury, Nathaniel Feury, and Lacie Sparks. She is also survived by many special cousins and friends, all of whom she cared about dearly.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Lewisburg Community Pentecostal Holiness Church, located at 2934 Brush Road in Lewisburg, with Pastor Hat Defibaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
