WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) — A heartbreaker in 11 innings ultimately ended in a 8-7 TCU victory and a series win for the Horned Frogs on Saturday afternoon.

The Horned Frogs struck first with a solo home run in the first inning but it didn’t take long for Baylor to respond. Midway alum Cortlan Castle doubled down the right-field side to drive in two runs and give the Bears the lead the right back.

MCC alum Ty Johnson hit a career milestone in the second inning, going yard for the first time in a Baylor uniform with a two-run shot to make it 6-1 Bears.

TCU rallied back into the game in the fourth with two home runs to pull within a run before tying the game in the sixth inning.

Each team went scoreless from that point, until TCU broke through in the top of the 11th inning, plating three runs and securing the series win.

Baylor takes on the Horned Frogs in a pivotal spot in Big 12 play on Sunday, May 5th at 1:00 p.m.
