A man jailed following the shooting death of a Fort Worth teenager is going to prison.

Last year, a Paschal High School student named Zechariah Trevino was gunned down at a Whataburger across the street from the campus.

Police arrested Daniel Reed, originally charging him with murder. But as part of a plea deal, the charge was reduced to aggravated assault for which Reed was sentenced to 13 years.

Detectives determined that Reed had a handgun that day and he did end up shooting Trevino's teenage cousin whose wound was not fatal.

An associate of Reed fired the shots that killed Trevino and he is already serving 35 years.
