Minors: TinCaps sweep doubleheader; Missions walk off a win

Dylan Lesko allowed a run in three innings in his second start and high Single-A Fort Wayne swept a doubleheader over visiting Lake County on Saturday.

The lone run and hit that Lesko (1.29 ERA) allowed in a 4-3 win was off a home run. He walked four and struck out four.

Devin Ortiz (. 548 OPS) doubled twice and drove in a run and Tyler Robertson (.851 OPS) went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Griffin Doersching (1.048 OPS) went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs in a 3-0 win in the second seven-inning game.

Kai Murphy (.865 OPS) went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Robertson added another double and an RBI in the win.

Right-hander Henry Baez (0.00) threw four scoreless innings in the start.

Right-hander Joan Gonzalez (2.70) recorded five outs for the win and right-hander Ethan Routzahn (0.00) recorded the final four outs for his first save.

Fort Wayne is 3-4.

TRIPLE-A EL PASO (6-8)

  • Sacramento 8, Chihuahuas 2: RHP Randy Vasquez (0-2, 7.94 ERA) struck out six but allowed three runs on five hits and three walks in four innings in the start. RHP Jeremiah Estrada (3.86 ERA) struck out three but allowed a run on one hit and one walk. LF Graham Pauley (1.020 OPS) went 1-for-4. 2B Clay Dungan (1.082 OPS) went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI, two walks and a run scored.

DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (5-3)

  • Missions 4, NW Arkansas 3: LF Connor Hollis (.797 OPS) went 1-for-4 with a ninth-inning triple that set up scoring the walk-off run on a wild pitch. 1B Nathan Martorella (1.148 OPS) went 1-for-3 with a walk and CF Jakob Marsee (.623 OPS) went 1-for-4 with a double. RHP Jayvien Sandridge (1-0, 0.00 ERA) struck out three and allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth in earning the win. RHP Ryan Bergert (3.38 ERA) struck out eight and allowed two runs on four hits in four innings in the start. LHP Jason Blanchard (1.59 ERA) struck out five over 2⅔ scoreless innings.

Notable: Low Single-A Lake Elsinore’s game was rained out in Modesto. The Storm will play a doubleheader on Sunday, with the first game beginning on at 2:05 p.m.
