OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) - An Oakes man faces charges of luring a minor by computer or electronic device on February 22nd. The criminal complaint states Nathyn Visto of Oakes, ND on or between March 1st, 2023, and February 22nd, 2024, did use a cellular phone to discuss sexual acts and/or sexual contact with an under age female, in addition to soliciting photographs of the girl in various stages of undress, in an attempt to initiate sexual contact with the girl.

Oakes, ND (OPS) – Oakes Public School (OPS) invites submission of nomination petitions to be considered for induction to our Hall of Fame. Many worthy individuals have provided outstanding service or brought honor to Oakes Public Schools. Hall of Fame inductees must have made significant contributions to Oakes Public Schools and must have been separated from OPS for at least three years before induction. Nominees may be former students, staff, administration, school board members, volunteers, or the public. Nominees are not required to be graduates of Oakes Public Schools.
