Tuesday evening update: Showers and storms are firing up today as a disturbance pushes through. Severe weather is not anticipated, but heavy rain, gusty winds, frequent lightning, and small hail are possible. We kick off the month of May on Wednesday with patchy fog during the morning. Don’t worry though; it will burn off quickly with plenty of sunshine by the afternoon as high pressure builds in. This will allow for temperatures to climb into the mid- to upper 80s. Even warmer air arrives on Thursday, with highs flirting with 90 degrees! Clouds will be on the increase on Friday, with continued warm temperatures in the upper 80s. Showers start to enter the area Friday night as our next weathermaker arrives. Rain will become more widespread going into Saturday, with thunderstorms entering the mix. Severe weather is not anticipated at this time. We continue to see showers and storms through the remainder of the weekend. This will keep the temperatures cooler, with highs in the low to mid-80s. We kick off next week with yet more showers and storms. However, we quickly dry out on Tuesday through the remainder of the week. The big story will be the very warm temperatures flirting with 90 degrees over several days.

Sunny and warm start to May!
Wednesday afternoon update: Happy Hump Day! We are kicking off the month of May today with quiet weather. We had some patchy fog earlier this morning, but that has since burned off. Sunny skies this afternoon will allow for temperatures to climb to the mid- to upper 80s. Temperatures will cool off to the upper 50s tonight, with patchy fog developing late. Thursday will be another beautiful day with sunny skies. The biggest story will be the warmer temperatures, as highs flirt with 90 degrees! We start to see clouds move in on Friday, ahead of our next weather maker. As a result, high temperatures will be slightly cooler in the mid-80s. A few showers and thunderstorms roll in Friday night. The best chance, however, will be on Saturday, as we continue to see disturbances roll through. Highs will only be in the lower 80s this weekend. If you have any Cinco de Mayo plans for Sunday, you will want the rain gear! Going into next week, we start with a few showers and storms on Monday, but sunshine returns on Tuesday and lasts through midweek. We will experience another warmup, with highs approaching 90 degrees midweek. Going into the second half of next week, rain chances return, with an isolated shower or storm possible on Thursday.
