Liberty Common girls track and field runner Isabel Allori keeps putting her name in the record books.

The Eagles senior did it again, running a state-record time of 10 minutes, 4.16 seconds to win the Patriot League 3,200-meter (2-mile) title Saturday in Greeley.

Allori's time narrowly clipped the former record of 10:06.23, set by Cherry Creek standout Riley Stewart in 2022. Stewart then became the 2023 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year at Stanford.

It was just the fifth time any Colorado high school girls runner has run under 10 minutes, 15 seconds in the 2-mile event.

Allori won the race by more than 50 seconds, beating runner-up Delaney Reuter (Eaton) and bronze medalist Izzy Schimmelpfennig (Timnath).

She's just the second Fort Collins track & field athlete in the Colorado record books (as of May 4, 2024) , joining Fort Collins High School runner Raymond Bozmans' 2012 record time of 10.27 seconds in the 100-meter dash.

Allori also set a new Colorado personal best in the outdoor event.

Her PR in the 3,200 may have been even more impressive. She finished runner-up with a time of 9:48.20 in March's prestigious New Balance Nationals Indoor event.

Allori also won the outdoor 3,200-meter run in April's Arcadia Invitational (Cali.) with a sub-10 minute time of 9:58.08.

The Notre Dame-bound runner is finishing her storied prep career in style.

Allori scored her second straight 3A cross country state championship back in the fall and won 1,600- and 3,200-meter track championships while helping Liberty Common to a 2022 team state title.

She was the top-seeded runner in both events (plus the 800) last spring before an untimely leg injury ended her state repeat quest.

Allori already holds numerous school, city and conference records. Now, she's officially in the Colorado record books.

    She's not done yet, either.

This year's state track and field championships (May 16-18 in Lakewood) are less than two weeks away and the senior will be a heavy favorite for more hardware.
