Photos: Divers search car submerged in Larimer County reservoir

DENVER ( KDVR ) — On Friday morning, the Poudre Fire Authority responded to a vehicle submerged in Horsetooth Reservoir just west of Fort Collins.

The fire department, along with Larmier County rangers and divers, were working on searching the vehicle on Friday.

The hazmat team was on scene working on fuel containment, while firefighters placed booms in the water to help control the leaking fuel.

As of 11 a.m., a shore-based search of the car was still underway. No one was found in the vehicle, and it had been removed from the water in the afternoon.
