Snake River Fish Populations Assessed Following Quagga Mussel Treatment Near Twin Falls
In September 2023, the Idaho Department of Agriculture found quagga mussels in the Snake River near Twin Falls. These invasive species can damage waterways and fish populations. The Idaho Fish and Game department helped assess possible solutions. They also counted the fish in the six-mile area where the mussels were found.
