Lewiston school committee revisits budget after voters reject first two attempts
LEWISTON (WGME) — After failing twice at the polls, the Lewiston School Committee took a third look at the school budget Thursday night. The committee worked to make cuts as they weighed the needs of the schools with the cost to the taxpayer. Ultimately the board wanted to see if an additional $1.5 million could be cut from the budget, though it’s not exactly clear where all the reductions would be coming from.
