Logan StoryCorps: A venue is born
Robert Linton: It's wild to think it's been 15 years. And I remember I was performing a little house concert, and my business partner -- he and his wife had just moved to Logan. And I remember after the show was over, we started talking music. And he said to me, "You know, I've got this place that I've been looking at on Federal Avenue that I'm considering turning into a recording studio, it was an old consignment shop." And I was like, "Wow, that's great. You know, I'd love to come in and see what your ideas are." And as we were browsing the building, I remember seeing downstairs and I said to him, "You know, this would be a great spot down here for the performers to be playing and upstairs, where you're already envisioning the studio, it'd be a perfect combination studio-venue that would meet the needs of local artists." That was the beginning of something great. And it's amazing to think how there was so many other people that were so crucial in how it came to be as it is today,
Weston’s unpalatable buildings
The Weston city council meeting for the month of April was a stream of building permits. There were three sheds, two additions, two houses and one inquiry. One of the houses was Brent Christensen and B’Linda Dover’s new modular home. You may recall, back in January, the camping trailer that had large tanks for a septic system and was plugged into a nearby power pole. That is their property.

Opinion: Let's talk
I admit to feeling flattered when Mr. Wayne Schow took the time to not only read my column entitled, “Who picks your starting pitcher?” but also wrote a professional and cordial rebuttal. I find myself thinking he would have been an outstanding professor if I had chosen to attend ISU and declared English as my major. But instead, I chose a more distant BYU and music. A campus where Mom would be less likely to “drop in” to check on me. BYU? A university that offers college credit for studying the effect on society of Taylor Swift’s music and celebrity status!? Seriously? But I digress.
