Designated a Tree City U.S.A., Ferguson Township is home to many green spaces and woodlands that provide clean air, serve as habitat for wildlife and beautify the community.

The township will celebrate that heritage and emphasize tree planting and care with Arbor Day festivities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Tom Tudek Memorial Park.

The celebration of the global holiday will have activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a tree planting ceremony, arts and crafts, free tree seedlings, bucket truck rides, a guided tree walk with Ferguson Township Arborist Larry Maginnis, light refreshments and more.

Tom Tudek Memorial Park is located at 400 Herman Drive, State College, and the festivities will kick off at Pavilion 1.
