FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — There are just two weekends remaining until the 2024 NCAA Regionals, and Arkansas baseball is in a terrific spot to be a national seed.

The No. 2 Razorbacks (42-10) have hosted a regional in five of the last six seasons and look poised to have more postseason action in Fayetteville later this year. Arkansas is No. 4 in the RPI and hasn't been ranked outside of the top five of USA TODAY's Baseball Coaches Poll all season.

The NCAA Tournament begins May 31 with the College World Series scheduled to end June 24. Below is a look at where the Razorbacks stand in two postseason projections.

Baseball America has Arkansas as the No. 5 overall seed, hosting a regional with Nebraska, Kansas State and Saint Louis. The Hogs would face Saint Louis in the opener, and that regional is paired with the regional hosted by No. 12 seed Indiana State for the super regionals. Baseball America's latest projections were released Wednesday.

D1Baseball's latest projections also came out Wednesday, and that website has Arkansas as the No. 3 overall seed. D1Baseball projects the Hogs' opponents to be Southern Miss, Kansas State and New Mexico, and the regional will be paired with the regional hosted by No. 14 seed Mississippi State for super regionals.

Arkansas rose in both projections after winning its most recent series against Mississippi State. The Hogs could easily move up, or further down the national-seed pecking order with a top-five showdown this weekend against No. 4 Texas A&M before competing in the SEC Tournament.
