Hail up to 1″ in diameter has already been reported near Clinton in Sampson County as severe thunderstorms rolled through this evening. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place south of the Triangle until 8 p.m. as the risk for strong to severe storms remains in place. Traffic Stop in Buck Swamp Area Leads to Drug Arrests
On May 10, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were patrolling the Buck Swamp area when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the stop, a search was conducted and illegal narcotics were located. Both occupants, Luis Angel Arandas, 26, Goldsboro, and Blanca Xochilt Paullada, 40, Goldsboro, were arrested and taken before a magistrate judge.
