Use of Cell Phones at Perry Meridian Sparks Controversy
In compliance with Senate Bill 78, Perry Township has instated new rules this year that require students to power off their cellular devices and keep them in a place students will not access them during the school day. The language of the bill extends this further by saying, “…the mandate applies to all personal electronics capable of messaging or data, including…cell phones & smartwatches, earbuds & headphones, personal tablets and laptops and gaming devices & smart glasses.”
