State residents and visitors will be offered license-free fishing days on June 1, June 8 and July 4 this summer, as the Department of Natural Resources looks to provide anglers with an opportunity to explore the state's diverse fishing without needing a fishing license, trout stamp or certification.
Police: West End man claimed ‘accident’ after friend shot him in pretend standoff
A 22-year-old Alexandria man was shot in the chest after pretending to “clear rooms” with what he and his friend thought were his unloaded Glock handguns. That’s according to a recently released search warrant affidavit detailing the shooting inside an apartment in the 4800 block of Kenmore Avenue on Saturday night, May 11.
Patrick Shawn Daly Charged For Hit-Run Crash In Maryland
Patrick Shawn Daly, 35, was taken into custody following a head-on crash on Saturday, where witnesses reported one driver fled in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road. According to the sheriffs office, responding deputies determined that Daly was at-fault for the crash, and had left the scene before they arrived.
