Kansas man arrested for assaulting teen twenty years ago
Lincoln, NE-based KOLN-TV reported that a Kansas man was accused of sexually assaulting a Nebraska teen on multiple occasions twenty years ago. 102 Donations benefit Hopkins, Pickering area
A new philanthropic organization, 102 Donations, has been formed to benefit the North Nodaway school district area being Hopkins and Pickering. The organization currently has 28 members, both men and women, who make a minimum contribution of $25 per quarter. The group has made two presentations. Last quarter, the group gave $1,395 to the Hopkins Ball Association and on February 14 the members donated $1,415 to the Hopkins Fire Department.

River levels improving at Riverton WMA, pumping underway
(Riverton) -- After months of delay, officials with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources are pumping more water into the Riverton Wildlife Management Area. That's according to Iowa DNR Wildlife Biologist Matt Dollison, who gave an update on the management area on the latest "Outdoors in KMAland" segment. Construction delays on the pump itself, followed by abnormally dry conditions, prevented the Iowa DNR from pumping water into the north marsh from the West Nishnabotna River during the usual fall pumping season. Now, Dollison says river levels have improved just enough to begin operating the pump and filling in portions of the currently dry north marsh.
