Target stores clear off space for Stone & Skillet’s English muffins
Dot bakery fills ‘national niche’ with its local fare. Stone & Skillet’s English muffins array. The bread aisles at Target stores offer a bazaar of competition, with dozens of brands and bake houses clamoring for attention to their products. But when it comes to the English muffin, the company has limited the number of suppliers to just a few, and one of them is Dorchester’s Stone & Skillet bakery.

Watch a bobcat stare down a camera in Dedham
A bobcat sits on a Boston suburb's sidewalk and glowers at a person filming it in new video released by Dedham Animal Control. The animal's short, bobbed tail twitches as it appears to monitor the situation. The caption to the Dedham Animal Control video calls the animal stunning, and notes that the agency loves getting video from residents embracing local wildlife.

These Are The 15 Best Family-Owned Pizza Shops Across America
Making outstanding pizza is a little like alchemy. A whole bunch of things — starting with yeast, salt, and flour — come together in a way that's kind of like magic, if you look at it a little sideways. What's created at the end is greater than the sum of its parts, but it's a kind of magic where you need to know precisely what you're doing from start to finish. Maybe that's why it isn't surprising some of the best pizza shops in the country are the family joints, some of which have been handed down through generations — they have the ancient knowledge.

Boston-area restaurants to visit (or skip) this Halloween
Steph here. Halloween is as good an opportunity as any to draw new customers, but few Boston-area restaurants go all out. The intrigue: Spooky season demands more than some orange streamers and a skeleton posted up at the host stand. I sifted through countless influencer reels and pitch emails and found three that stood out: 💸 Silhouette Lounge: Biggest bang for your buck. The Allston institution is serving $10 specialty drinks this week like the Ghoul, a vodka drink with melon liqueur and pineapple. Feeling adventurous? The Ghost is a Kahlua, cola and Baileys float. (It tastes way better than it sounds.) Yes, and: It wouldn't be the Silhouette without a hot dog special, a $10 Frank 'n Stein meal that pairs a hot dog with a pumpkin beer. 🕷️ Wusong Road: Best aesthetic. I debated whether to include Wusong Road. This Harvard Square Tiki bar went all out with elaborate craft cocktails named after Lovecraft Country references, costumed staff, massive spiders and other creepy decorations. Yes, but: This is a case of the aesthetics outshining food and drinks. The $18 Serpent's Yig was mostly ice, and the duck confit on the Halloween menu was served cold. It was delicious,
