Over 30 firefighters destroy Sunday blaze at Glasgow duplex
GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – A fire at a duplex along Jared Tyler Road in Barren County destroyed half of the unit Sunday evening. Greg England, assistant chief with East Barren Volunteer Fire Department, told WBKO Monday units from Glasgow Fire Department, East Barren, Hiseville and Temple Hill fire departments were on scene of the fire for about two hours.

Glasgow Police welcomes a new K-9 to their team
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Glasgow Police Department welcomed the newest member of their team last week. His name is Niko and he barks, bites and sniffs. 20-month-old Niko is the first trained K-9 to join the station for a while. He joins Officer Johnathan Pendley in serving Glasgow citizens.

Joyce Glady Burke, 83, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at her residence. She was born August 5, 1940 in Saint Joseph, Tennessee to the late Spencer Gladney and late Evelyn Williams Gladney. Joyce spent her youth split between Florence, Alabama and the Detroit, Michigan area. Joyce married Bill Burke in 1958 and they raised four sons, Tim, Jeff, Joe, and Phillip. Her and Bill raised their family outside Detroit and then moved to California for several years, before moving to their forever home in Glasgow, Kentucky where she passed. Joyce spent her life loving God, family, and her home.
