    Douglas County sheriffs arrests man who allegedly kidnapped, threatened driver with a gun

    The Douglas County Sheriff's office on Sunday arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped and threatened an unidentified driver in Englewood on Friday.

    Thomas Pratt, 42, was arrested on charges of kidnapping, according to a news release.

    The incident occurred on Friday before 7 p.m., when Pratt allegedly threatened his victim with a handgun and forced the victim to drive from the area of 9200 S. Broadway to Broadway and Chenango in Englewood.

    The victim, who remains unidentified, was not harmed, according to authorities.

    Pratt is facing charges including first-degree kidnapping, felony menacing, first-degree criminal trespass as well as a parole violation. The arrest comes after investigation and collaboration between multiple law enforcement agencies.

    In a statement, Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly said "deputies worked around the clock since this happened to track down the suspect."

    "If you prey on Douglas County residents," he added. "We will find you and hold you accountable."
