Trader Joe’s Named America’s #1 Grocer for 2026, Why is Shreveport Still Waiting?
Trader Joe’s will forever be one of my favorite places on Earth. It’s the ultimate grocery store for people who actually enjoy grocery shopping, those of us who love hunting for new seasonal treasures and artisanal snacks without needing a second mortgage to pay for them. Between the risk-free return policy and that "Two-Buck Chuck" charm, the atmosphere is actually fun. No coupons, no membership cards it's just pure, snack-fueled joy.

Looking for a place to have a late weekday lunch, my mother and I decided to try a fairly new Mexican restaurant in Shreveport — Lola Lolita's Fine Restaurant. Sometimes I am surprised when I walk in the front door of a new restaurant. I was expecting a small- to medium-sized fast casual place for some reason. (I didn't know the full restaurant name included "fine restaurant" until I saw the exterior sign.)
