LTD offers cheap, easy rides to Autzen Stadium this season
EUGENE, Ore. - Lane Transit District is offering Duck football fans a way to skip traffic and parking hassles by taking the bus to Autzen Stadium for home games this season. Fans can park for free at any of LTD's 19 Park & Ride locations, then board a bus to Eugene or Springfield stations before transferring to EmX. Riders get off at Agate Station and walk north across Franklin Boulevard and the Frohnmayer Footbridge to reach the stadium.

Main Street in Toledo vwill be closed to through traffic during the following hours: 1) South Main Street, between Graham Street and SE 2nd Street will be closed on Friday, September 4 starting at 8 p.m. and reopening on Saturday, September 5 at 9 pm. 2) North Main Street, between Bus. Hwy 20 south to Graham Street will be closed Saturday, September 5th starting at 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. During the closure, traffic will be restricted from entering and exiting Main Street, including the public parking lots and on-street parking spaces. Local access to and from the residential parking lot northeast of the intersection of Main Street and SE 2nd Street will be permitted. The street closure is for the Toledo Car Show. $2 million project to add parking lot and more to Cuthbert in Eugene
The City of Eugene wants to add a parking lot to serve Cuthbert Amphitheater. According to bid documents , the city wants several changes to the venue. The popular outdoor concert venue sits in Alton Baker Park on Day Island Road. The City of Eugene owns the venue and a separate company, Kesey Enterprises, manages it. The city wants a roadwork contractor to excavate and install a parking lot for cars, bikes and buses next to the amphitheater. The parking lot will be asphalt with a concrete curb, except the bus section which will be gravel. The city also wants to add a gravel pedestrian path with new lighting and a chain link fence along the outside ring of the amphitheater; extended electric, water and fiber service to the venue; refurbish Pre's Trail and upgrade drainage — which will include a new manmade pond southeast of the amphitheater to catch the increased stormwater expected from the new pavement. Day Island Road runs through most of Alton Baker Park and while some may think of it as pedestrian and cyclist path, it is open to motor vehicle traffic in the western half of the park. Eugene gas prices continue to rise as national average stays about four dollars
Gas prices in Eugene have risen 2.4 cents per gallon over the last week to a new average of $4.61, according to a survey of area gas stations conducted by GasBuddy. The national average saw a similar increase of 2.9 cents per gallon, and now stands at $4.05 per gallon.
