ELGIN, Okla. (KSWO) - The City of Elgin has a new firetruck and at $375,000, Engine 2 is now one of the largest firetrucks in Comanche County. 7News caught up with Elgin’s fire chief, Mike Baker, who says it will mostly be used in the county, as it has a massive 3,000-gallon tank that’s perfect for fighting fires when there are no hydrants nearby.

City of Lawton names new Public Works Director
LAWTON, Oklahoma (KAUZ) - Michael Watrous was named the city’s new Public Works Director at the Lawton City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 23. Watrous will be succeeding Larry Wolcott in this position. Oklahoma News 4 reported on Thursday that Total Wine lost its appeal with an administrative judge about the state granting it a liquor license to set up shop.
