Parts of West Gore to close for 4-lane widening project
LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Starting Monday, May 6, West Gore Boulevard between 67th and 82nd Street will be closed as construction gets underway. The construction project is set to widen the road to four lanes, while creating a center turn lane, and bicycle lanes. Construction is expected to continue through May 2025.
Storm damage cleanups underway in parts of Southwest Oklahoma
LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Cleanup efforts are underway in parts of Southwest Oklahoma after the deadly storms wreaked havoc across the area. The National Weather Service confirms that at least 25 tornadoes touched down over the weekend, rating as an EF-3 or higher. The National Weather Service office of Norman reported 62 tornado warnings on Saturday, a new record for warnings they issued in a single day.

A Friday night collision claimed the life of Max R. Galloway, 63, of Marlow following a collision near 2699 E. Osage Road approximately 1½ miles east of Duncan.
