The Caledonia Area Warriors had a huge day in Lewiston at the conference track meet Saturday, May 11. Both the boys and girls teams posted many personal records (PRs), school and conference records were broken, and both teams had All-Conference qualifiers by the time the events had died down. Houston Signs Six-Year Contract with Morem
At the May 2 regular Houston School Board meeting, the board reviewed and voted on the proposed six-year contract with Superintendent Mary Morem. Josh Norlien and Nickki Johnson voted against the contract, while Mimi Carlson, Arlin Peterson, Richard Erdmann and Mark Swenson voted in favor of the contract. Marissa Grams was absent.
Semi blamed for crash that closed Highway 14 west of Winona
WINONA COUNTY, Minn. – An overturned semi has closed U.S. Highway 14 west of Winona. The Minnesota State Patrol says Jordan Patrick Kleist, 23 of Houston, was driving a 2010 Peterbuilt semi west on Highway 14 when he lost control near mile marker 253, rolled the semi onto its side, and went into the south ditch.

Mabel Schedules Public Hearing
