EDMOND The annual Downtown Edmond Arts Festival will take place later this week.

Because of this, there will be multiple street and alley closures to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Closures will begin at 4 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, and run through at least 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. Motorists will need to find an alternate route during these closures.

But, to make getting to the Festival easy, guests can use a free shuttle service provided by Citylink Edmond. For this year’s event, the buses will run every 15 minutes between 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Guests can park in the UCO campus parking lot on the west side of 1st Street and University Drive and enjoy a short, free ride to the event. The service will run from the parking lot to the Citylink bus stop outside the Police Station at 100 E. 1st Street, just a half-block from all the attractions and fun.
