County D under I-94 closed for construction starting May 13

TOWN OF WASHINGTON, Wis. (WKBT) -- County D under I-94 in the Town of Washington will be closed starting May 13.

The closure is due to a construction project on I-94 from west of the US 53 interchange in the city of Eau Claire to Mallard Road. The closure is expected to last two months.

According to WisDOT, the construction is a part of a multiyear pavement replacement project that's expected to finish November 2026.

This project also includes widening the bridge over Otter Creek, replacing two bridges and a box culvert, repairing storm sewer and resurfacing the I-94/US 53 interchange.
