    Man seriously injured after being thrown from motorcycle in East Hartford crash

    EAST HARFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A 35-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing on Route 2 Thursday evening, according to Connecticut State Police.

    The crash occurred just before 8 p.m. on the eastbound side of Route 2, near Exit 2 to East Hartford.

    Police said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when- for an unknown reason- he veered into the left shoulder and collided with the metal beam guardrail.

    Teen arrested in attempted carjacking in Hamden

    The driver sustained serious life-threatening injuries after being thrown from the Suzuki motorcycle. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

    The case is under investigation.
