Ballots for June 25 primary to be mailed week of June 3
The Eagle County Primary Election is June 25 for the Democratic and Republican parties. Ballots will be mailed the week of June 3 to active, eligible voters. Colorado does not have a voter registration deadline, but there is a party affiliation deadline of June 3 for the primary if a voter is already registered with a party. To vote in the primary, a voter must register as a Democrat, Republican, or Unaffiliated.
Investigation underway for missing Gypsum teen
The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl who was last seen on the evening of Saturday, May 18, in Gypsum. Lorena Uribe, the mother of Gysselle Lujan, said the family has been working with local authorities and authorities in New Mexico, where the girl’s father lives.

Join Eagle County’s Planning Commission
Eagle County has openings for alternates on the Eagle County Planning Commission. This is a great opportunity to participate in discussions about the future of the county. To qualify, applicants must be Eagle County residents for a minimum of one year and a registered voter. The ECPC makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding land use within the Eagle Valley area of unincorporated Eagle County. Big changes for Eagle County’s open space regulations
Eagle County is changing many of the rules and regulations on its open space lands. Some of those changes come with increased fees and penalties. The Eagle County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday approved those changes on a 2-0 vote, with Commissioners Matt Scherr and Jeanne McQueeney voting in favor of the new rules. Commissioner Kathy Chandler-Henry was absent.
