Fugitive arrested in Cape Girardeau
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A fugitive was arrested in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday. Missouri Probation and Parole alerted deputies on June 4 from the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office, part of the Fugitive Task Force that fugitive Michael P. Vincent was at an address in Cape Girardeau.
Cape Girardeau Parks & Rec Department to hold ribbon cutting for Tot Lot
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department will host a ribbon cutting of the Tot Lot inside Capaha Park. The ribbon cutting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20. According to the City of Cape Girardeau, the Tot Lot began renovations in July 2023, with the re-opening of the playground planned for Thursday.
Rain chances increase for the weekend
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Good Friday Evening Heartland. We saw lots of sunshine and warm but dry conditions. For this evening we will continue to see clear skies before midnight, and then clouds will begin to increase. Temperatures will fall through the 70s during the evening hours. After midnight we will be monitoring a strong line of storms to our northwest. This line will be weakening as it enters our northwestern counties before dawn. As this line moves towards the Mississippi River we expect it to completely fall apart by the late morning hours. Lows by morning will be in the lower to middle 60s.
Police: Man cited for shooting at cat with BB gun
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - A man was taken into custody after allegedly shooting at a cat with a BB gun on Tuesday morning. Around 10:45 a.m. on June 4, officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the 1100 block of South Pacific about a male subject shooting a BB gun at a cat.
