Cape Girardeau Parks & Rec Department to hold ribbon cutting for Tot Lot
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department will host a ribbon cutting of the Tot Lot inside Capaha Park. The ribbon cutting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20. According to the City of Cape Girardeau, the Tot Lot began renovations in July 2023, with the re-opening of the playground planned for Thursday.
County Road 316 (Matthew Street) in Jackson reopens after sewer line repair
JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – County Road 316 (Matthew Street) in Jackson is back open after public works shut had to shut it down for emergency sewer line repair on Thursday. The road closure was from the intersection of Old Cape Road East and continue south to the city limits.
Cape Girardeau City Council approves increase to water, sewer, trash rates
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau City Council voted to raise water/sewer rates in the city during the council’s meeting Monday night. For an average bill which includes water, sewer, and trash, there will be an increase of about $5 from $92 to $97 per month.
