North Vermilion High searching for head football coach
Joe Heintz was named as the head coach of the North Vermilion High football team in April 2023. However, he resigned from his position a year later in April 2024. Reportedly, he will go back to Teurlings High School in Lafayette, where he had previously been coaching for over 15 years.

LCA's boys claim regional championship behind typical, surprise performances
Two years ago, when the Lafayette Christian Knights’ boys track and field team won the Class 2A state championship, it did so despite not winning their regional meet. So while there isn’t necessarily a correlation between regional and winning state, Knights head coach Brad Sievers hopes that will be the case this year after LCA won the Region II-4A track meet held at Cecilia High on Wednesday.

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLTV) - Former Carthage Bulldog Connor Cuff drove in a run in Louisiana’s 10-9 loss to Houston Christian on Wednesday. Batting ninth and starting at third base, the freshman was 1-for-5 with a run scored. Cuff singled in the fourth inning and reached on a fielding error in the fifth, driving in a run on the play.
