Graduates from the Pennsylvania College of Technology's physician assistant program have surpassed the national average pass rate for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam for two consecutive years. The exam is a requirement to practice as a physician assistant, assessing medical and surgical knowledge, clinical reasoning, and professional behaviors. Ninety-four percent of the 2023 graduates passed the exam on their first attempt, while all 2022 graduates passed on their first try. The national average for both years was 92%.

Local PTK Chapter and Aly’s Monkey Movement Bring Comfort to Children in Local Hospitals
The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter at Penn College recently partnered with Aly’s Monkey Movement, a local nonprofit. They prepared 144 plush monkey toys for children in distress. The nonprofit was started by Aly, a 14-year-old girl and daughter of nursing student Kristy L. Creasy. Aly began the project on her 10th birthday, asking for donations to buy monkey toys instead of birthday gifts. So far, the project has given out over 8,500 monkeys worldwide.
