According to officials, a call for a structure fire was reported at Cody’s Original Roadhouse in Tampa around 5:15 a.m. When units arrived on scene, smoke and flames were visible and crews had to beginning a defensive attack as conditions deetiolated.

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed on State Road 54 in Zephyrhills after he was hit by a car that took off after the crash. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the 70-year-old was attempting to walk across the road west of Allen Road and was hit by a car just after midnight.
