FIRE FIGHTERS HOLDING FILL THE BOOT DRIVE
On Friday, fire fighters from Roseburg Fire Department Local 1110 and Douglas County Fire District #2 Local 2091 will hit the streets for the annual Fill the Boot drive. It is part of an effort to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which the International Association of Fire Fighters has been involved in since 1954. The longstanding tradition helps to fund research, care, and advocacy to empower people living with neuromuscular disease to achieve their potential.

TRANSIENT JAILED AFTER ALLEGED DISORDERLY CONDUCT INCIDENTS
A transient was jailed for alleged disorderly conduct incidents by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday. A DCSO report said just before 8:20 a.m. a deputy traveled to the Family Mart in the 500 block of Bear Creek Road in Curtin after a caller said a man had caused multiple disturbances during the morning. The deputy contacted 49-year old Michael Rushing and attempted to arrest him.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A Milwaukie man reported missing in the Douglas County area has been found, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday evening. At about 5 p.m., deputies announced that 71-year-old Robert “Bob” Anthony Stern has been found safe and thanked people for their help.
