Man shot in head in overnight Lufkin incident
LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Wednesday night. According to a release from the City of Lufkin PIO Jessica Pebsworth, the shooting call came in to the police department around 10:20 p.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of West Laurel Avenue, where they say a man had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Former Diboll Lumberjack Skyler Martin got four of five RBI on Wednesday in one mash with a grand slam as Angelina swept Coastal Bend in a doubleheader by the scores of 10-0 and 12-0. Batting second and starting at first base, Martin was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and four RBI in the second game. Her grand slam came in the third inning. In the first game, Martin was 0-for-1 with two runs scored, one RBI and two walks.
