Lufkin firefighters report death of dog in Friday house fire
LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Friday morning fire damaged a home and resulted in the death of a dog. A passerby in the 100 block of Gayle Street reported the blaze around 9 a.m. and the first fire department unit arrived within four minutes, according to City of Lufkin Communications Director Jessica Pebsworth.

The report found wind conditions likely led to the tail rotor of the helicopter failing, causing the helicopter to go into a downward spin from which the pilot was unable to recover.
