ACGC Boys Capture Third While Girls Finish Eighth in West Central Activities Conference Track Championship
(Stuart, IA) – The ACGC Chargers boy’s and girl’s teams had to spread their conference meet out to two different days on both Wednesday and Thursday due to the weather conditions on the back end of Wednesday’s meet. The boys were able to earn third with a total of 113 team points while the girls came in eighth with 43 team points. Madrid was able to capture the boy’s team title with 149 team points while the girl’s title was claimed by Van Meter with 138 team points.
ACGC’s Cody Matthewson Blending Family Life and Coaching
(Guthrie Center, IA) – Balancing coaching, work, and family is one challenge that many of our regional coaches take on every day. ACGC’s Head Boy’s Track Coach Cody Matthewson has taken on this challenge by coaching track in the spring and football in the fall, which has led to the success of the Charger’s athletic programs. While he has taken on the challenge of coaching two sports, he also has the challenge of adding two more to the family with the birth of his twin daughters Charlie and Georgia.
