DETROIT (WWJ) -- A 17-year-old boy has been charged as an adult with attempted murder, among other felony charges, for a quadruple shooting early this month at Detroit park.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced Thursday that Alvin Noble would appear in court to face 19 counts in connection with the non-fatal shooting of two young women and two young children on May 1.

The charges are as follows: Four counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, four counts of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm, one count of Carrying a Weapon with Unlawful Intent, one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and nine counts of Felony Firearm.

Just before 9 p.m. that evening, Detroit Police responded to Stein Park, in the area of Faust and Westfield on the west side, on a report of shots fired.

On the scene, prosecutors said officers first found an 18-year-old woman lying facedown on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

A second victim, also an 18-year-old woman, had a gunshot wound to her back, officials said. The two other victims were a 6-year-old girl who was shot in the leg, and a 2-year-old boy who was shot in the buttocks area.

All four victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

On Monday, Police Chief James White said that one of the women remained in critical condition. Confirming reports that the woman is pregnant, White said her unborn child is expected to survive.

It's alleged, police said, that the first female victim was in a dispute with an unidentified 18-year-old woman who is acquainted with Noble. The dispute escalated, and it's alleged Noble drew a gun and started shooting.

The other woman and the two kids who were shot were were innocent bystanders who had no involvement in the dispute, according to prosecutors.

“This case is especially alarming because we are at the beginning of the season where our citizens, young and older, start enjoying the warmer weather in our city parks. Then a fight, a phone call, and a gun completely devastated a wonderful community gathering,” said Prosecutor Kym Worthy, in a statement.

Nobel was arraigned Thursday afternoon, before Magistrate Malaika Ramsey-Heath in 36th District Court. He was given a $500,000 cash bond with the conditions that he wear a a GPS tether and will be house arrest if he is released.

A bond redetermination hearing is in the case is scheduled for May 13, to be followed by a probable cause conference on May 16.

Nobel faces up to life in prison if convicted as charged.
