There are a new set of voices about to hit the Detroit sports talk airwaves, and we have a better idea of the lineup for Sports Rap Radio.

The new radio format, co-owned by former Free Press sports columnist Rob Parker, will debut on WXYT-AM (1270) on May 16, according to multiple reports , and feature several local voices and one longtime metro Detroit fixture.

Lindsey Hunter, the former Detroit Pistons guard who was a member of the 2004 NBA championship team, will co-host with Montezz Allen, a Detroit native who last worked for the NBC affiliate in Macon, Georgia. Their show, "The Pitbulls," will air from 3-7 p.m. weekdays. Hunter had a brief stint with the short-lived Detroit Sports 105.1 (WMGC-FM) last decade.

Parker's national radio show, "The Odd Couple," co-hosted by Fox Sports pundit Chris Broussard, will air on Sports Rap Radio weeknights from 7-10 p.m.

Former Birmingham Brother Rice star, NBA All-Star player and current player agent B.J. Armstong will also have a show. A co-owner of the radio endeavor, Armstrong will host alone from 10 a.m.-noon weekdays. The noon-3 p.m. slot will be covered by Michigan graduate and Fox Sports Radio host Martin Weiss and J.R. Gamble, a longtime sports journalist.
