Omaha Storm Chasers Take Victory From Iowa Cubs 10-3

(Des Moines, IA) – The Iowa Cubs continued their series against Omaha into the weekend with a loss at home to the Storm Chasers 10-3. This marks the fourth straight loss for Iowa as they’ve won one out of five against the Storm Chasers.

The game’s highlights are on the side of the Storm Chasers as they started off by adding the majority of the runs in the fifth inning on a long home run by John Rave with a launch over the right field wall. Nate Eaton was not stopping with that to add on even more runs with a double as Drew Waters and Devin Mann scored to put Omaha up 5-1. The Cubs were able to make a bit of a comeback in the sixth as Jake Slaughter doubled to score both BJ Murray Jr. and Curt Casali to come within 5-3. Nick Pratto homered for the Storm Chasers over the right field to put Omaha up 6-3. Omaha sealed the win in the ninth inning with a three-run addition with Cam Devanney’s double to add on two of the three runs to seal the 10-3 victory.

Iowa and Omaha will return for the last game of the series tomorrow in Des Moines at 1:00 p.m.
