DEPTFORD – South Jersey can't seem to get enough of those chicken fingers with that special sauce: Raising Cane’s has opened its fourth New Jersey restaurant, this one in Deptford.

The Louisiana-based fast-food chain, famous for those chicken fingers, opened on April 30 at 1860 Deptford Center Road.

Raising Cane’s continues its spread across South Jersey.

It had previously recently opened locations in Burlington Township, Marlton and Cherry Hill.

Burlington Township became Raising Cane's first ever New Jersey location when it opened on Jan. 17 at 2329 Mount Holly Road (Route 541).

The chain also plans to open other South Jersey locations in Glassboro, Lawnside and Washington Township.

The Deptford location will bring more than 140 jobs to the area.

“The Cane’s craze has officially hit New Jersey with Deptford marking our fourth opening in the Garden State this year,” said Lana Tallman, Area Leader of Restaurants, in a news release. “The local Gloucester County Community is buzzing with excitement and our friendly crew is looking forward to a successful opening and serving up delicious Box Combos to fans old and new.”

While chicken fingers are its thing, the Raising Cane's menu also offers a “sandwich combo” consisting of three chicken fingers on a toasted bun, Cane’s sauce, crinkle-cut fries and a fountain drink. Their box combo offers four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Cane’s sauce, Texas Toast, coleslaw and a regular drink. Cane’s sauce is described as “tangy with a little bit of spice and full of flavor.”

The chain was founded in 1996 by Todd Graves (and named for his yellow Labrador) and began with one store and has grown to more than 600, including locations in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and more.
