Anthony Edwards is nothing if not confident.

The rising superstar has been playing some of the best basketball of his life on the biggest stage during the 2024 NBA playoffs. That was made clear on Thursday night when Edwards led all scorers with 27 points in the Minnesota Timberwolves 45-point win over the Denver Nuggets to force a Game 7 in the Western Conference semifinals.

Of course, Edwards had a good feeling that the Timberwolves were going to be able to force a Game 7 and even the series up, taking it back to Denver. He told the attendants in the Nuggets' locker room as much after their Game 5 loss earlier this week.

It led to this exchange with a reporter on Thursday night:

Reporter: "Did you really tell the locker room staff in Denver that you would be back for Game 7?"

Edwards: "Hell yeah. They know, y'all was in there. I told them, I said 'I'll see yall *expletive* for Game 7."

With an average margin of victory of 26 points in their three wins in this series, it's not a surprise that Edwards felt confident that his team could pull out a massive win like this in the biggest of spots.

Now we will see what he is able to cobble together on Sunday in the final game of the series, with a chance to send Nikola Jokic and the defending champion Nuggets home.
