    Nikola Jokic Rewrites NBA History In Nuggets-Timberwolves Game 5

    On Tuesday night, the Denver Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs Western Conference Semifinals with a final score of 112-97. The Nuggets take a 3-2 series lead.

    After receiving his third MVP trophy, Nikola Jokic had a game to remember. He scored 40 points on 15 of 22 shooting to go with seven rebounds and 13 assists. Anthony Edwards finally had a bad game in the playoffs, scoring just 18 points on 33.3% shooting.

    The statistic was posted on social media by Basketball Reference.

    "Nikola Jokić tonight: 40 points ⎹ 13 assists ⎹ 0 turnovers He's the first player in our database with that stat line or better in a playoff game."

    The Nuggets will travel back to Minnesota to face the Wolves in Game 6 on Thursday, May 16th.
