Denver weather: Warmer day with an afternoon storm chance

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Mostly sunny skies will help warm temperatures along the Front Range into the 70s on Tuesday with chances for an afternoon or evening storm in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather today: Afternoon storm

Denver will see partly to mainly sunny skies Tuesday with a light breeze into the afternoon.

Highs will make it into the upper 70s, putting the city a few degrees above average. Spotty showers and storms are possible for most of the state by the afternoon.

Weather tonight: Extra clouds

Clouds linger overnight as winds begin to slow. Low temperatures on Tuesday night will dip into the upper 40s with maybe a final shower after sunset.

Looking ahead: Drying and warming

Wednesday will have some extra clouds moving through the afternoon with cooler highs in the middle 60s and better chances for showers and storms.

Denver will bring the sunny skies back into the forecast by the end of the week with highs in the lower 70s on Thursday afternoon.

Friday looks great with mostly sunny skies and warm highs around the 80-degree mark.

The weekend will be mild with warm conditions on Saturday afternoon with highs in the low 80s and sunny skies.

Sunday looks to be nice for the first half of the day, especially for those running a Colfax race, with highs hitting the middle 70s and the chance for an evening storm.

Monday keeps some extra clouds in the forecast with highs in the middle 70s and a small storm chance.
