On Wednesday night, the NBA on TNT crew announced that Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is the 2024 NBA Most Valuable Player.

This will be Jokic's third MVP win, adding to his 2020-21 and 2021-22 trophies. The other two finalists for the award this year were Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

For the year, Joker nearly averaged a triple-double, tallying 26.4 points per game, 12.4 rebounds per game, and nine assists per game. He led the Nuggets to a 57-25 record, good for the second-seed in the Western Conference.

Following the announcement of the award winner, a video was posted to social media of Jokic's live reaction, and he didn't really seem to care, giving a sarcastic response.

"Jokic’s reaction to winning MVP was hilarious"

Jokic and the Nuggets will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 on Friday, May 10th as they look to avoid a 3-0 hole.
